I admit that I was a bit sceptical upfront about how much value this might have for partners in general (assuming that at least the more senior ones should have mastered the basic BD skills already). However, my concerns were unfounded, and the event was a big success in Prague (same as in other places, I understand).
All of us who participated enjoyed it thoroughly, and we have been greatly impressed by Brigitte’s skills and ability to show to us how much we may improve in meetings and work generation generally if we do things properly (and to a significant extent differently from what we used to do in the past). The practical sessions (when people are given tasks and need to perform ‘live’ while being recorded on video) in particular were most useful, as people were immediately able to see what they do right and what they do wrong, and how big an impact some simple changes might have. As you may know, there are preparatory videos available on the Internet that the participants can (shall) access, and I’ll be talking to Giles to obtain additional access for selected Prague lawyers (beyond certain seniority level) as I believe everyone can benefit from these.
